Long Time No See
Long time no see. Hisashiburi in Japanese. I am sorry for not taking care of my own blog (well, the statement of ”I am sorry” is already countless in this weblog).
So, where the hell have you been Iqra ?
As usual, I am just too (pretend to be) busy these days. Campus life, 3rd year seminar classes, thesis (Oh God), part-time job (again?), two 2000-words reports, books, reading materials, eisa (not really, I don’t go to regular practices in this quarter), Campus Newspaper (another responsibility *sigh*), Indonesians’ Association (Strategic Studies Committee, sounds great, but what are you guys doing actually?), Symposium (Oh No), preparing for my future (hell no).
See, I don’t even have much time for myself. Damn.
But probably this is the way to get out of the vicious cycle of conformity. So have a seat, relax, fasten the seatbelt, and go !
Anyway, I love this pressure. It feels good.

Merayakan Pemikiran
Anda tahu Prisma ?

Fear and Paranoia
Any attempt to make ourselves victimized and marginalized is tragic and useless. First, it doesn’t solve the problems-the only way to solve it is face it for sure. Second, this kind of argument sometimes can be a boomerang which is used for justification in letting and ‘preserving’ fundamentalist, violent and terror-loving ideas. And lastly, it doesn’t show your respect in combating fundamentalism and other violent ideologies-probably because you partly agree with those ideas. And reacting to this kind of opinion by campaigning fascist counter-terror measure backed by public fear is even worse and dumber.

Multiculturalism in APU: The Future of the World
This is why APU is founded. By gathering domestic students and international students from more than 80 countries at the same time and same place, an epic society based on the values of freedom, peace and mutual understanding can be achieved. Perhaps we may not see the result immediately, but if we imagine in the next 5, 10, 50 or 100 years, it is also not impossible. Our society will be driven by the dynamic, young, talented and skillful human resources with high degree of open mindedness and tolerance to other cultures, which will lead to a peaceful and prosperous world, a world with trade and growth instead of war.

Some Recent Reflections: On Religion
My religion is not the old-fashioned religion, who already became ‘institutionalized’, and stopped its role as a wisdom or spiritual oasis for humanity.
